>Four Month Old Wearing Eye Glasses
>During my daughter’s four month old pediatrician visit, her doctor was on maternity leave so Abigail was being seen by another doctor. Hubby and I got worried when the doctor told us she can’t see Abigail’s left eye red reflection and that it would be better for use to see a pediatric ophthalmologist. We were referred to a certain pediatric ophthalmologist in our area.
Hubby and I didn’t waste anytime. We called and scheduled Abigail right after we left. We got the latest appointment we can get and didn’t even bothered us to wake up 6 o’clock in the morning just to get Abigail’s eye checked.
The eye doctor told us the good news. Abigail’s red eye reflection have no problem at all. But there is a little bad news as she said. Abigail’s left eye is more farsighted than the right eye and that the difference is something that need to be corrected as early as possible to avoid being legally blind. Hearing those word just scared me and worried me so much.
I can’t believed we were told and prescribed Abigail for an eye glasses. Who would ever thought that a four month old baby can wear a prescription eye glasses.
After a month of trying to put it on Abigail, hubby and I finally gave up as she was keep on taking it off from her eyer every second. But now that she is almost a year old, we might be going back to her eye doctor even though her own pediatrician said she can’t find anything wrong on Abigail’s eye. Hopefully the substitute doctor and Abigail’s eye doctor was wrong about it and hopefully her pediatrician is right about saying she can’t find anything bad on Abigail’s left eye.
