postheadericon >Recipe From My MIL

>It is such a sweet gesture from my mother in law for giving me her cabbage soup recipe. I am really going to try making this not only for myself but also for my baby. I am sure Abigail would love this soup and by the time she’ll grow up, I would let her know that the recipe was from her grandmother. I just hope that my daughter would still be able to spend more years with her grandma.

Ingredients:

1 c celery
1 c carrots
1c onion

Saute in 1 stick butter or oleo. Cut 1 head cabbage and 1 potato into small pieces.Boil cabbage and potatoes in 5 c chicken broth. Add sauted mixture and cook till tender. Add 1 lb velvetta cheese and heat till melted. Eat with cornbread or chips.

Today, Abigail has made another motor skills. She was able to sit by herself from crawling position. I put her on floor while doing something in the kitchen and last thing I know she was already sitting. Grrr I really hate myself for missing this other milestone of my little girl. I want to witnessed all the things she does for the first time. I know I would be able to see more later on but I just can’t the feeling of seeing all the “first time” changes of my daughter’s motor skills.
